H. Martin Chomiak

About the Speaker

Attended Jacksonville University and graduated in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Management and in 1984 with an MBA.  Postgraduate Study at Columbia University Business School – Strategic Marketing

Joined Procter and Gamble in 1981 in Jacksonville and in 1984 started on a career with Johnson and Johnson.  Married college sweetheart – Cynthia B. Chomiak (’83) and bought a house in Ft Caroline.  In ’92 transferred to NJ and in ’15 returned to Jacksonville.

Johnson and Johnson career has spanned 34 years and covered positions of increasing responsibility and complexity:

• Sales, Sales Management, Training / Development

• Corporate account director for all J&J – engaged with “C” suite at major health systems in NYC

• International Market Development responsible for Asia Pac

• Have traveled to and conducted business in over 40 countries

• Also 30 tier 1, 2 and 3 cities in PR China

• Business – Corporate Board Member

• Led a special assignment in China for 2 years

• Returned to NJ to lead a fledgling surgical group and grew it over 10 years

• Opportunity to transfer to J&J Vision Care in Jacksonville

• Global Strategic Marketing Director – Emerging Technologies

• Business Development, M&A, Discovering new technologies, International Government collaboration

’86 Daughter (Catherine) 32 - married, lives in Abu Dhabi and works as a journalist & producer for CNN International.
