Dr. Richmond Wynn

About the Speaker

Dr. Wynn is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Qualified Supervisor, and a Certified Addictions Professional in the State of Florida. He is also a Nationally Certified Counselor. For 20 years, prior to joining the faculty at UNF, he held clinical and administrative positions in addictions treatment, community mental health, private industry, and university counseling center settings. Dr. Wynn maintains a limited private practice and is an experienced consultant and trainer. 

Dr, Wynn embraces culture-centered approaches to teaching, research, and counseling. His research focuses on intersectionality of identity, traumatic stress, and health outcomes with an emphasis on marginalized social identity groups. Dr. Wynn is specifically interested in the ways in which culturally diverse, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people negotiate their identities and manage their health.
