About the Speaker

Academic WorldQuest, a flagship program of the World Affairs Council network, is a team game testing competitors' knowledge of international affairs, geography, history and culture. There are currently more than 40 local competitions held around the country and the winners of these local competitions are invited to compete in the National Academic WorldQuest  held in Washington, D.C. each spring.

The 18th Annual Admiral Jonathan T. Howe Academic WorldQuest will be hosted on February 9, 2023 at 5:30 PM. The event will be taking place at the UNF Adam W. Herbert University Center, 12000 Alumni Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32224.

Parents are encouraged to attend!

The Admiral Jonathan T. Howe Academic WorldQuest features six rounds of six questions each. The following topics will be featured in this years competition:

  • Atrocity Prevention and Accountability

  • Battle of the Century: Autocracy vs. Democracy

  • Economic Sanctions - A Double-Edged Sword

  • Great Decisions

  • The Arctic Council: Frozen Cooperation

  • The Future of Supply Chains

To register your team, please click the tab below and fill out the form. Teams must consist of four students. Multiple teams from each high school may compete.
