The Admiral Jonathan T. Howe Academic WorldQuest 2015
The 11th annual Admiral Jonathan T. Howe Academic WorldQuest (AWQ) was held on Thursday, November 5 at the University of North Florida. With fifty teams from 20 area high schools competing and over 300 students, teachers, parents and Council supporters attending, it was a spirited evening indeed. Stanton took the top three slots and Fleming Island followed close behind in fourth place. The fifth place went to Fernandina Beach and the Best Team Name was awarded to Terry Parker High’s “Ich Bin Ein Ber-winner.” The winning team “Netanyahu Answers” from Stanton scored 29 points, with 36 being the highest possible score. The four students and their faculty advisor Mr. Frank Bunton will be traveling to Washington, DC in April 2016 to represent Northeast Florida at the national competition.
