Ambassador Marilyn McAfee Scholarship

 

The World Affairs Council of Jacksonville announces its annual Ambassador Marilyn McAfee Scholarship.  The $1,200 academic merit scholarship will be awarded to a sophomore or junior currently attending Edward Waters College, Jacksonville University or the University of North Florida.   

To be eligible for this award, students must:

·        Be a full-time student  (Florida residency NOT required)

·        Have a university GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale

·        Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills; academic excellence

·        Academic program and/or future interests must include pursuing a career in international business, government, foreign or military service

 

 

Application deadline:  January 15, 2008.  Finalists will be notified by March 1 and will participate in a panel interview with members of the World Affairs Council including Ambassador McAfee.  The scholarship winner will be notified by April 1, 2008.
